5 ADHD- Friendly planning tips to help you stay organised

5 ADHD- Friendly planning tips to help you stay organised

1.Brain dump before you plan

Instead of trying to organise everything in your head, write every task down first. Dont worry about putting it in order-just get it down and out of your brain.

2.Pick only 3 priorities

Long to-do lists can feel overwhelming. Choose just three tasks that would make today feel successful, even if nothing else gets done.

3.Time block with breaks

Rather than scheduling every minute, block out chunks of time with built-in breaks.

For example:

30 minutes of focused work- 10 minute break- Repeat

4. Make tasks smaller

Instead of writing clean bedroom, try: change covers, make bed, take washing down. Small steps are easier to begin.

5. Celebrate the finished tasks

Tick things off, highlight completed items, use stickers, or reward yourself with a cup of tea or five minutes of something you enjoy. Your brain responds well to positive reinforcement.
